Our Products
Pink Batts has been proudly making high-quality insulation since 1961, and it’s the only glass wool insulation manufacturer in New Zealand. What sets them apart is their strong commitment to sustainability. They are the only company in the region to hold both an Australasian EPD and the Eco Choice Aotearoa ecolabel, which are trusted marks that prove their products are environmentally responsible. Every Pink Batts product made in New Zealand is also GREENGUARD certified, meaning it helps create healthier indoor air.
The company is deeply dedicated to helping homes across New Zealand become more energy efficient. They keep improving their technology to create glass wool insulation that works perfectly in New Zealand’s varied climate. Their products are made from more than 80% recycled glass, turning waste from local glass bottles and jars into top-quality insulation. Thanks to this effort, over 9 million kilograms of glass waste are kept out of landfills every year, making Pink Batts a leader in sustainable building materials.
EXPOL creates a wide variety of practical and high-quality solutions using two types of foam: Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS). These foams are lightweight, strong, and excellent at insulating and supporting structures. Because of their flexible and adaptable nature, EXPOL’s products are used in many different building and construction projects. All of EXPOL’s products go through strict testing by respected organizations like BRANZ and WSP OPUS, making sure they meet high standards for performance, durability, and quality.
EXPOL runs seven large manufacturing and recycling facilities across New Zealand, making it one of the country’s leading producers of polystyrene products. These facilities help EXPOL create sustainable, eco-friendly solutions that support everything from homes to industrial buildings. EXPOL’s products are used in a wide range of applications, such as building strong retaining walls, insulating concrete and timber floors, providing insulation for walls, roofs, and cladding, and even creating special environments for sensitive buildings. Their solutions also help with lightweight fill, drainage, garage door insulation, and more, making EXPOL a trusted name in New Zealand’s construction industry.
To make Eliment more eco-friendly, the glass used in its production is made from at least 80% recycled materials. This means that glass that might have been thrown away in landfills is now being reused, helping to cut down on energy use and pollution. The factory also runs on renewable energy, using solar panels installed on the rooftops to generate power. Water used in production is collected and reused, reducing waste and saving valuable resources.
The entire manufacturing process avoids harmful chemicals that damage the ozone layer, such as CFCs and HCFCs. This ensures that the production of Eliment not only saves energy but also protects the atmosphere. To further reduce carbon emissions, Eliment products are packed using compression, which makes them much smaller. This compression reduces the volume needed for shipping and storage by about thirteen times, meaning fewer trucks, less fuel, and a cleaner supply chain. Overall, Eliment is designed to be sustainable from raw material to final delivery.
Mammoth Modern Insulation makes high-quality insulation by using top-grade polyester fibres and turning old plastic bottles into new insulation material. By repurposing plastic bottles, the company keeps waste out of landfills and creates a product that’s both strong and eco-friendly. Each type of insulation is carefully designed with a special mix of fibres to match its purpose.
The blend includes technical fibres that boost performance, recycled fibres that reduce environmental impact, and bi-component fibres that help the material stick together better. This careful crafting results in insulation that keeps homes and buildings warm in winter and cool in summer. It also improves indoor air quality, making spaces healthier to live and work in. Because the company produces its insulation with no waste, it has earned a prestigious carbon reduction certification, proving its strong commitment to sustainability.
GreenStuf® insulation is made right here in New Zealand, specially for Kiwis by Kiwis. It feels soft and safe to touch, with no harsh chemicals or tiny fibres floating in the air. Like a cozy duvet, GreenStuf is made entirely from pure polyester fibre, offering excellent insulation for both heat and sound.
What makes GreenStuf truly special is its strong focus on recycling and sustainability. Up to 92% of the material comes from recycled PET plastic, turning everyday waste into high-quality insulation. Every leftover piece from production is reused, and even old insulation and packaging from building sites are collected and recycled back into new GreenStuf. This closed-loop system means less waste, more resources, and a cleaner environment for everyone.
Knauf Insulation’s glasswool products are a smart, eco-friendly choice for homes that need to meet New Zealand’s Building Code H1 requirements. These insulations are made with advanced technology and are certified as DECLARE red-list free, meaning they contain no harmful chemicals that could affect people’s health. Whether you’re insulating ceilings, skillion roofs, or walls, Knauf offers a range of products designed for different parts of the home. Each product comes in new, branded packs that are compression-packed for easy transport and storage, with clear, colour-coded labels to help builders and homeowners choose the right insulation for each job.
The secret behind Knauf’s high performance lies in two key technologies: ECOSE® and TwinTech®. ECOSE® uses a plant-based binder instead of traditional synthetic glue, making the insulation more sustainable and better at resisting moisture. TwinTech® technology adds strength and stability to the product, making it easier to cut, handle, and install. Together, these innovations result in insulation that is not only more effective at keeping homes warm in winter and cool in summer, but also simpler and faster to use on site. This makes Knauf Insulation an ideal choice for builders, homeowners, and anyone looking for a reliable, sustainable solution.
